Aquabase bamboo cladding has two designs. One is
with the rebated profile(recommended) which is made
for installation with fasteners and screws. The other is
with trapezium profile which is made for installation
with screws.
尚诺户外重竹墙板是一款经竹材重压而成全竹大比重用材。经
由特殊技术的200摄氏度热处理工艺加工而成的尚诺户外重竹
墙板。具有欧洲最高标准的耐久性，极高的硬度稳定性。像所
有户外硬木一样，尚诺外墙板在室外铺装几个月后，由于自然
氧化的原因，深碳颜色会变灰，浅碳颜色会变深。

安装说明
Pour concrete ground with a certain thickness and
some slope.
Water logging under the decking must be avoided by
preparing a water permeable ground structure. This
can be achieved by sand layers and gravel dispersion
above.
Use cement/stone tiles 40-50mm thick or pedestals,
to support the sub frame.
Install the decking boards with a slope of 1-2% to
enable waterto run off the surface.
Use sub frame joists with the minimum size of 40x60
mm.
Install the boards on sub frame joists with 462.5 mm
space between the joists (centre to centre) so each
board is supporteaby 5 joists. Always install the ends
of the boards exactly on the joist.
lf a random installation pattern is preferred, make sure
that the sub frame joist (centre to centre) are no more
than 300 mm apart.
Always install cut off outdoor boards on at least 3 sub
frame joists.
Keep at least 5-6 mm expansion space between the
boards(in width direction). With clips installation this is
automaticallythe case.
Because of the stability of the boards and the shape
of the headside tongue and groove(end-match
system), expansion space is not needed on the head
side.
Every cut head side has to be impregnated with head
side wax, to prevent waterpenetration. the case
Determine the surface side of the boards, grooved or
flat side.
Pre-drill the screw holes 30 mm deep. It is important
that this board is straight and well secured.
Use the fasteners in the following sequence:
1.Press fastener in the groove of one board.
2.Pre-drill the screw holes. On bamboo: use extended
drill in order to pre drill deep enough.
3.Mount the screw without fully tightening.
4.Install the following board.
5.Tighten the screw in the fastener and the sub beam.
Always screw vertically to the joist. Apply low torque
with slow screwing speed on the drilling machine.
Perform some tests for correct torque speed adjustment before full installation.
Use approx. 20/17/14 clips per m2, this is depending
on the width of board.
Only use the stainless steel decking screws.

Note:
suitable joists are those with
the same durability class as the

Determine the surface side of the boards, grooved or flat side.
Pre-drill the screw holes 20 mm from the side of the board. Be sure
to pre-drill with a large enough drill (80% of screw diameter) to
avoid racking of the decking.
Always screw both sides (left and right in the width direction) of the
board.
Use stainless steel decking screws.
When dealing with any type of construction
project it is necessary to wear appropriate safety
equipment to avoid any risk of injuries. Aquabase
recommends the following safety equipment
when handling, cutting, and installing Aquabase
bamboo decking: gloves, respiratory protection,
long sleeves, pants, and safety glasses.

Maintenance & Cleaning
Bamboo decking maintenance is important thing you need to do after installation and
routine maintenance will extend the life of your decking. Bamboo has to take
maintenance because there is natural oil on the surface of decking. After sunshine,
snow, rain and cloud, the oil will volatilize off.
First time is three months later after installation, and the second time is nine months later.
Then the decking just needs maintaining once a year.
Wet the deck well with clean water. Apply deck cleaner with a synthetic roller or a
brush.
Scrub the greyer parts with a nylon brush.
Leave on for 15-20 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Do not use strong jets of water close to the
surface, as this may cause the fibers to lift and the bamboo material to be damaged.
Allow the deck a minimum of 24 hours to dry in warm, dry weather.
Always make sure the decking is clean, dry, free of dust or dirt, and without any
coating. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature.
Brush the deck with a silicon carbide brush or machine disk. If this does not give a
satisfactory result, the surface can be sanded using a machine with 80 grit.
Stir the oil thoroughly before use and during the application to avoid colour variation.
Apply one even thin coat of oil to the surface with a brush, for a maximum of half an
hour.
Repeat to apply a second coat after 30 minutes, once the wet look has disappeared.
Important: remove any excess product before it dries, to avoid any drippingor glossy
areas.
The oil must penetrate the material and not remain on the surface, so that it dries
leaving a matte look.
Pay attention to the ends of the joists and cut ends of the boards, which tend to
absorb more water, and saturate well to minimize water ingress.
Please be aware of the fact that on the flat surface, irregularities in the surface (e.g. cracks,
splinters) are better visible than on the ribbed surface. If regular
maintenance with a water based decking oil is performed, this will be reduced.

刷第一遍，不宜过厚。
待第一遍油干燥后，整体观察每片板子的深浅
色，对颜色不均匀的二次补色，确保整体颜色均
匀。
待第二遍油干燥后，再进行第三遍涂刷，保养即
可完成。
特别注意板子的端头和切面处，一定让油充分渗
透，以保证最小吸潮率。
保养油应选用水性涂料，使用时请充分搅拌。建
议稀释比例如下:第一遍为1�2，第二遍为1�1，第
三遍为1�3。

地板由于强紫外线、冰雪、雨水、高温、干燥等复杂环境下
使用，作为天然材料，戶外竹材在使用一段时间后，有变
色、细微裂缝、表面粗糙都属于正常现象，保养维护后，能
恢复光亮如新。

如果要在游泳池区域周围使用尚诺戶外重竹，如果长时间不
予维护保养，天然竹材地板表面将会变得毛糙；光脚走动可
能会有损脚掌皮肤，请注意定期保养。

Please note
Every piece of bamboo is different, that is nature's guarantee. So variations will occur in colour, texture, grain
width and natural features. Colour can change fast from dark brown to brown or even grey, depending on the
climate conditions and maintenance cycle.
Small splinters or cracks on the end and on the surface may occur under different weather conditions. This is
normal phenomenon of most natural wood species. BUT it can be minimised by applying sealer to the cutting
ends of the boards.
Slight, acceptable dimensional change or cupping may occur after installation. This is normal phenomenon of
most natural wood species. BUT it can be minimised by our unique thermal treatment process.
Choosing the flat surface means more visibility of irregularities under influence of climate. This phenomenon will
be reduced by choosing ribbed surfaces and with more frequent maintenance
