Dear trainees,
I would like to extend our warm welcome for your visit to Sichuan
for the international training workshop on kiwifruit production. This
training program, hosted by the Department of International Cooperation
Department of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of the PRC
and organized by the Sichuan Provincial Academy of Natural Resources
Sciences, will take place from November 27 to December 11, 2023.
The MOST has always been committed to scientific and
technological exchanges with countries around the world. Since 1989, as
part of its international science and technology projects, the MOST has
been organizing various thematic international training programs to
promote scientific and technological collaboration and advancement with
countries along the Belt and Road. This is a significant training program
that has received high recognition and strong support from both Chinese
and foreign governments. It has become a bridge for friendly cooperation
between China and developing countries.
The international training workshop on kiwifruit production is
carried out relying on a number of innovative platforms, including the
China-New Zealand Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Kiwifruit, the
Key Laboratory of Kiwifruit Breeding and Utilization in Sichuan Province,
the International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, and the
Talent and Intelligence Introduction Demonstration Base. It aims to lead
the high-quality development of China's kiwifruit industry, promote
scientific and cultural exchanges with regions along the Belt and Road,
and provide practical training on kiwifruit industry technology and
management experience through expert lectures, field visits, and practical
experiments.
Again, welcome to Sichuan and appreciate all your efforts in
organizing this training program. I hope that all the trainees will benefit
from this training and have an unforgettable experience during the stay in
Sichuan!
