The year 2023 is a tumultuous one for the

optical communications industry: the global economy progresses with difficulty amidst turbulence,

industry demand is expected to shrink, and the

intensifying shifts in international geopolitics have

brought significant pressure and serious challenges to the development of the industry. It is also an

extraordinary year for InnoLight. We officially

joined the league of ten-billion-yuan companies,

and our workforce crossed the ten-thousand mark.

It is all thanks to the relentless efforts of each and

every one of you that InnoLight continues to lead

in the global optical transceiver field.

2023 年是光通信行业风起云涌的一年:全球

经济在动荡中艰难前行、行业需求预期缩减、国际地

缘政治变幻加剧,对行业的发展带来了巨大的压力

和挑战。2023 年又是旭创极其不平凡的一年:公司

Even with all the uncertainty in the global

macro environment, an unprecedented surge in

artificial intelligence (AI) in 2023 resulted in an

exponential increase in the demand for AI computational power. This sharp rise has, in turn, fueled

iterations and upgrades pertaining to optical transceivers. It has also contributed to a significant

increase in production volumes, thereby unleashing tremendous market potential. This wave of

development has presented InnoLight with

unprecedented and historically significant opportunities. Over the past decade, InnoLight has

achieved success by seizing the opportunities

created by the growth of cloud computing data

centers. Looking forward, our mission over the

next decade is to establish ourselves as a leader

in high-speed optical interconnects for AI computational power networks.

In the crucial year of 2024, we must do our utmost

to accomplish the following tasks:

First, we must focus more on R&D investment and technological innovation. The core of

future market competition lies in technological competition. The increasing demand for AI computing

power imposes new and higher requirements on

optical communication technology. Bottlenecks in

optical interconnects, such as bandwidth and power

consumption, have severely constrained the development of AI computing power. Therefore, we must

continuously intensify our technological research

efforts to keep up with advanced technologies, such

as silicon photonics, coherent optics, co-packaged

optics (CPO), and optical switching. By steadily

accumulating cutting-edge technologies and developing additional new products, we can quickly build

a robust technological barrier. Only in this way can

we stay ahead in this ever-evolving and increasingly

competitive landscape.

In a fast-paced industry with rapidly evolving

technology and ever-changing demands, InnoLight needs to evolve into an organization that is

continuously learning and growing to keep up with

the pace of the industry. We must listen attentively

and maintain an open mind in order to learn. Let

us listen to our customers, keep abreast of the

latest technologies, and continue improving our

management skills. By continuously enhancing

InnoLight's overall capabilities, we can quickly

understand and meet customers' current and

future needs. We are committed to being a

reliable, long-term partner for our customers.

workforce, and particularly managerial staff, must

adopt a business-centric mindset. Our ultimate

goal is to maximize our company value and

ensure sustainable business growth. All business

units and functional managers should first assess

whether their actions contribute to creating greater

value for InnoLight. When making any business

decisions, it is crucial to consider whether we can

achieve higher goals through more cost-effective

investments.

Finally, we must stay committed to our

strategies related to cost reduction and efficiency improvement, along with a focus on

international development. Over the past year,

InnoLight has made a concerted effort to implement these two initiatives. Moving forward, we will

continue refining how we operate. We will be

smart with controlling costs, and push ahead with

our plans for our factory in Thailand, as well as our

R&D centers in Singapore and the United States.

All these efforts are aimed at facilitating our global

expansion.

Second, we must strengthen our execution. Both capital and talent will be poured into the

opportunity-filled optical communications industry,

which will inevitably accelerate product iteration

and intensify market competition. \"InnoLight

Speed\" has always been an essential factor in our

success. All of our business units are required to

collaborate closely throughout the entire product

lifecycle (including development, production, delivery, and post-market maintenance) to ensure

efficient operations and proper execution. Let us

also not forget that our business teams need to

listen to our customers, while our support teams

must listen to our frontline teams, insightfully

grasp current and future needs, emphasize

outcomes, and truly create value

Growth On the Way

We have no fear, for we are on the way.

旭创和旭创人,我们在路上。

Growth is on the way, for both InnoLight and

its employees.

On its 15th anniversary, one of the greatest

changes that InnoLight has experienced at this

juncture is the long-awaited commencement of

mass production at our factory in Thailand, which

will alleviate the pressure on delivery to domestic

factories.

处于青春期的少年,眺望人生扬帆启航、劈风斩

浪的远景时,胸中常泛起这样的激情。他们义无反顾

地迈向前程,沿途布满玫瑰与荆棘。

Teenagers in the midst of adolescence often

swell with passion when they gaze upon the vast

horizon that is their life and envision a future navigating various challenges and opportunities. They

march forward without hesitation, along a path

filled with both roses and thorns.

将来,当他们变得成熟,回顾往事,在淡淡的怀

想中,往昔的痛楚会成为勋章,过往的煎熬也被岁月

熬出甜蜜的滋味,奖励可贵的成长。

When they eventually grow old and reminisce

about the past, once painful memories will

become badges of honor, and those youthful days

of struggle will be seen as invaluable stepping

stones towards their personal growth.

How can someone experience success if they

have never experienced adversity?

旭创 15 周岁,发生的最大变化之一,便是筹备

已久的泰国工厂开始大规模投产,有力缓解了国内

工厂的交付压力。

The growth process of a new factory is

always filled with ups and downs. Sunny, the international sales knows this better than anyone else.

新工厂的成长过程,总是波折不断。对此,负责

国外销售的 SUNNY 感受极深。

As early as 2019, she was already receiving

urgent requests from clients who urged InnoLight

to establish factories overseas. Management

made a decision to formulate a detailed plan for

establishing an overseas factory based on its

needs for strategic development and taking into

account operational realities and future trends

pertaining to orders. To this end, we have communicated extensively with clients.

早在 2019 年,她就接收到客户对旭创在海外

建厂的迫切要求。公司高层做出判断,要求从自身

战略发展需求出发,结合经营实际,以及未来的订

单趋势,制定海外建厂的细节。为此,与客户做了大

The year of 2023 signifies a remarkable milestone for the 15-year-old InnoLight. The booming

establishment of a presence overseas, the dazzling surge of silicon-based products, and the

clear recognition garnered on the race track that is

the automobile industry signaled the impact left

behind by new technology waves, creating something akin to a polyphonic symphony. InnoLight

has never experienced such rapid growth as it is

undergoing today. Every family member of InnoLight is growing stronger and more resilient, ready

to defy all odds.

2023,15 岁的旭创,迈过了重要的一年。海外布

局的隆隆机轮,硅光产品的华彩奔腾,汽车赛道上的

清朗回声,犹如复调的乐章,为新的科技浪潮记下注

International Sales: We Are Thinking While

Exploring the Unknown

国外销售:我们边探索边思考

InnoLight eventually purchased and renovated a factory building in the WHA Industrial Park in

Saraburi, Thailand. Subsequent to the renovation,

equipment was installed, employees recruited,

clients audited, and trial production carried out on

a small scale.

最终,旭创在泰国 SARABURI 的 WHA 产业园 ,

购买了一座厂房,并陆续完成厂房改建、设备进场、

招募员工、客户稽核、小规模试产等事项。

Those problems exposed in the first quarter

were a cause of great consternation amongst the

team. Many engineers from the Suzhou branch

who had originally signed on for a short-term business trip to Thailand ended up becoming permanently stationed there.

第一季度暴露出的各种问题,令整个团队焦心。

很多支援到泰国的苏州工程师从出差模式转为了常

驻模式。

\"It was a painful process.\" Sunny admits candidly, \"Many companies have proven how catastrophic it can be when there is a failure to transfer

the production capacity to a new factory. When I

was dealing with the problem in Thailand, I can

admit that I felt a little scared. All I could think

about was that there was no turning back, and we

had to see it through.\"

“整个过程很痛苦。”SUNNY 坦言,“不少公司曾

有过新厂转产失败的前车之鉴,它会造成灾难性的

后果。我在泰国现场处理问题时,心里甚至有点害

怕,只想着我们没有回头路了,必须把它走通。”

Under this immense pressure, every single

department focused their attention on problem-solving. The international sales actively communicated with customers to buy the time necessary for engineers to solve the litany of problems.

重压之下,各部门把注意力集中到解决问题上。

国外销售部积极与客户沟通,为工程师们解决问题

赢得必要的时间。

Everyone started to think outside the box.

The R&D department decided to concentrate its

resources in Suzhou first to improve the product

yield, and transfer the production line to Thailand

once the yield rate was stable. The manufacturing

and Marketing Departments worked closely to

promptly adjust production plans, allowing the

Thai factory to focus on producing modules while

maintaining the production of optical components

in domestic factories.

大家开始另辟蹊径。研发部门决定先在苏州集

中优势资源,做优产品良率,等稳定后再转移到泰

国;制造部与市场部密切合作,及时调整生产计划,

让泰国工厂集中于模块生产,把光学部分的生产任

务留给国内工厂。

After applying pertinent and targeted measures, the production yield of the Thai factory continued to rise and was secured at a high level in

September. The delivery schedule was adhered to

with a 100% completion rate. Receiving positive

feedback from the clients helped to ease Sunny's

tense nerves.

这番对症下药后,泰国工厂的生产良率节节攀

升,到了 9 月已牢牢稳定在高水平线上,并百分百地

完成了交付计划。收到客户的满意反馈,让 SUNNY

紧绷的心松弛下来。

\"During the initial three years of combating

COVID-19, many of my colleagues from the

Suzhou branch volunteered to go to Thailand. Our

most significant achievement in 2022 was our

exemplary handling of audits from clients. At that

time, new products kept being transferred to Thailand, and client audits came one after the other

without reprieve. Sometimes, we had to host four

client delegations in a single month. Due to the

pandemic, it was difficult for our colleagues in

Suzhou to travel to Thailand and accept the audit

on site. When the pandemic was raging in March,

we were all wearing hazmat suits when boarding

the plane.\" Sunny reminisced, \"The audit turned

out great in the end, and everybody was confident

for a successful transition in 2023.\"

“抗疫三年,不少苏州同事自告奋勇去泰国做先

锋。2022 年,我们最重要的工作是接受客户稽核。当

时不停有新产品转移到泰国,客户稽核也没有间断

过,有时一个月要接待四波客户。苏州相关部门的同

事要去现场迎接客户稽核,因为疫情原因,出行难度

很大。3 月份疫情严重的时候,我们都是穿着无尘服

上飞机的。”SUNNY 回忆道,“后期稽核越来越顺利,

大家也对 2023 年顺利转产充满信心。”

However, problems occurred with the first

batch of products produced in Thailand after the

transition. The product had just completed the

research and development stage in Suzhou and

was both sampled and delivered in Thailand without MP. After the transition, due to the presence of

many new components and the adoption of new

techniques, the amount of wire bonding utilized

was three times that of the past, which presented

a coupling challenge. All these factors resulted in

a lackluster yield in the first quarter.

Some products adopted a new model after

being transferred to the Thai factory, complicating the

production process. In addition, there were issues

with the raw materials, resulting in a lower yield rate.

然而,第一款转产泰国的产品,就遇到了问题。

这款产品刚刚在苏州完成研发,还没有做 MP,就在

泰国同步送样、交付。产品转产后涉及到很多新器

件,又采用了新工艺,光是打线数量就是过去的 3 倍,

后来又发生了耦合难题,令第一季度的良率很差。

程变得更加复杂,再加上原材料出现问题,导致良率

偏低。

缺少的东西用临时方案搭建起来。”GUO 回忆说,“第

二天,我们请客户重新去产线看了一遍,客户发现所

During that visit, the visiting delegation consisted of 10 people, more than who could fit in a

single meeting room. Moreover, the Thai factory

lacked a receptionist. Every conceivable task fell

to the factory employees. The local employees in

Thailand exhibited their strong hands-on abilities.

Two meeting rooms were melded into one. A

podium was built and the venue decorated. A

passable meeting room was set up in just one

weekend in order to leave the client with a good

impression.

“回看这段过程,我觉得旭创太不容易了。过去

没有海外设厂的经验,硬是凭着一股冲劲把转产做

成了。大家边探索边思考,积累了很多新经验。将来,

公司还有大量新产品会转移到泰国工厂,相信泰国

工厂能够愈加成熟,实现自己的目标。”

\"We really were put through the wringer.

Despite our lack of experience establishing a

factory overseas, we forged ahead, and got it

done. Everybody explored and reflected, and

gained a wealth of experience along the way. In

the future, the company will transfer a significant

number of new products to the Thai factory. We

believe it will continue to perform even better,

grow, and achieve its intended goal.\"

那次客户来了10多个人,一间会议室还坐不下。

而泰国工厂当时没有负责接待的人员,所有工作都

压在工厂现有的员工身上。泰国当地的员工发挥出

动手能力强的特点,有人负责把两间会议室打通为

一间,有人搭建会议台,有人布置场地,用了一个周

末,张罗出一间像样的会议室,给客户留下不错的

印象。

After hearing the report, the client's delegation came to the production line. If taking into consideration the fact that the factory was still under

preparation, the Thai factory performed quite

admirably. However, the client aligned its expectations with the standards for a developed factory.

So the actual capability fell far short of their expectations the on-site feedback from the client on that

day made the team feel extremely nervous.

听完报告后,客户一行人来到产线稽核。如果

以建厂的准备期标准来衡量,当时的各项建设其实

可圈可点,然而客户却以成熟工厂的标准来稽核,

client audits during the early days of the factory

At that time, both the team and the hardware

setup at the Thai factory were still in the early

stages. However, the client was adamant about

auditing the factory as soon as possible, thus

putting immense pressure on the Suzhou team.

步阶段,但客户非常急切地前来稽核,令正在泰国的

苏州团队压力极大。

Burning Passion

\"We worked all through the night to address

the issues raised by the client earlier today and

improvised temporary solutions to fill in the gaps.\"

Guo recalled, \"The next day, we invited the client

to revisit the production line, and they found that

all the issues had been resolved. This left a deep

impression on them regarding InnoLight's execution, efficiency, innovation, and corporate culture.

Finally, we were accepted in this audit.\"

Although it was Guo's first time dealing with

foreign employees, his years of service in InnoLight has taught him the principle that a company is

nothing without a unified workforce. \"As a whole, a

company relies on the interdependence of its

employees sharing both their successes and

failures. While no individual is perfect, a perfect

team can be formed.\" It was this attitude which

made Guo able to adapt his management style to

the characteristics of individual employees. For

example, to forge a complete team, he set clear

goals and expectations for frontline employees in

Thailand, provided detailed instructions on how to

execute tasks, followed up on their progress and

interacted closely with them. His primary focus

was bridging the gap between local employees

and Chinese employees.

GUO 虽然是第一次面对异国员工,他在旭创多

年,深知“唇亡齿寒”的道理。“企业作为一个整体,每

个人相互依存,荣辱与共,没有完美的个人,却有完

Under this guiding principle, Guo successfully

established the framework of the Quality Department in Thailand and gradually built a team covering raw material supply, process management,

account management, and the construction of a

laboratory. Through a series of innovative initiatives, he helped the Thai factory tough out the

challenging process before mass production.

time when InnoLight had first been created from

the ground up. What made it different, however,

was that the development of InnoLight 15 years

ago consisted of the Company largely feeling its

way through the dark, whereas the groundwork in

Thailand was based on the Suzhou template and

possessed both a clear direction and approach.

The challenges this time around lay in how to

recruit employees, overcome language barriers,

blend into an unfamiliar culture, and merge different work styles.

在这一思路的主导下,GUO 顺利建立起泰国质

量部的架构,逐步完成了从原材料供应、制程管理、

客户管理,到建立实验室的团队能力建设,并通过一

系列创新举措,帮助泰国工厂完成了大规模投产的

witnessed its meteoric rise from its initial conception. In October 2022, he arrived at the Thai factory to oversee the building of a quality team as well

Certainly, new challenges did occur after the

transition. This requires monitoring to promptly

obtain information, identify abnormalities, and

proactively detect risks. Therefore, the Quality

Department established a virtuous cycle of seeking development when any problems were

encountered.

\"In the first year of mass production at the

Thai factory, our main focus was on improving the

production capacity, so we spent a lot of time

refining various details. For example, we established additional control measures during the transition and formed a quality monitoring system that

included pre-preparation, mid-term monitoring,

and post-interception.\" Guo stated, \"Since the

Thai factory is new, the management model is

more flexible. We have established an inter-department collaboration mechanism that involves

various departments in decision-making and business operations. This includes the transition of

new products, quality monitoring and control

during mass production, as well as the gathering

of customer feedback after shipping. None of

these tasks are determined or proceeded exclusively by a single department.\"

In Guo's opinion, maintaining sensitivity to

potential issues is more of a work habit than a

result of stress. Now he spends half of the year at

the Thai factory. Constantly shuttling between two

places reminded him of the passionate entrepreneurial spirit that he experienced during the early

days of InnoLight. This passion fuels him, and he

enjoys the sense of challenge that the Thai factory

brings to him. One of the most acute fears for Guo

is the notion of being stuck in his comfort zone,

which would prevent him from experiencing any

change.

a piece of valuable experience developed by the

Quality Department in Suzhou, has been transferred to the Thai factory by Guo. \"It is important to

be sensitive to market information, predict potential issues, and quickly find a solution after the

issue occurs to minimize the impact. Prediction

requires both accumulated experience and a wide

range of monitoring methods and data analysis.

We have a dedicated product development control

team as well as a comprehensive control process

and measures to address issues in the development and introduction of new products. These

problems found in previous products will help us

avoid making the same mistake during the develMeanwhile, the Thai factory also applies vertical management in project-based business operation. In particular, the R&D Department, Manufacturing Department, and Quality Department all

work together to address any issues and quickly

find the best solution that balances the interests of

all stakeholders.

Meanwhile, labor demand was surging.

Urgent recruitment expansion commenced in the

middle of the year. By December, the number of

employees in the Tongling factory surged to over

3,000, three times as many as before.

扩招,到了 12 月,铜陵工厂人数增长到 3 千多人,足

足扩张了三倍。

These hard figures do not reflect the challenges we faced in recruitment. As the local HR

market had saturated, we had to recruit employees from outside Tongling and lower the age

requirement. Those who had left their jobs for various reasons were invited back. Moreover, we

offered greater opportunities for internal promotion, selecting a batch of candidates for production

line management.

数字不能体现招聘工作遇到的挑战。由于铜陵

当地的人力资源已经饱和,不得不开辟外地招人的

The change in production line staffing

triggered other changes. For example, the proportion of graduates recruited from outside Tongling

increased. The difference of their production line

experience and personal characteristics from

social workers led to higher requirements in terms

of management. We had to develop more detailed

production plans and changed our training mode

from a complete training package into job-specific

targeted training. These changes helped shorten

training periods and improve efficiency, thus help产线人员结构发生的变化,牵动了其它变革。比

Ming, a director in Manufacturing Department

quarterly meeting in September that the factory

had experienced their fastest production expansion, highest labor demand, largest expansion of

models and quickest plan change yet. Four words

provide an accurate description of the third quarter: fastest, highest, largest and quickest. These

descriptors also apply to the present situation at

the factory as a whole.

The Tongling factory, which was put into

operation in summer in 2018, is equal to the

Suzhou factory in area, and also contains the

most employees. In 2023, they fulfilled over 60%

of InnoLight’ s optical product orders and 30% of

modular product orders.

“The market was subdued in early 2023. We

only had 1,200 staff members in March. After

April, the market bounced back due to the increasing demand for AI. Since July, our production had

been incredibly busy. The production plan was

constantly changing to coincide with customer

demand and ever-fluctuating models. The delivery

time and quantity changed on a daily basis. The

Over the years, InnoLight has developed a

stable delivery capacity due to a series of factors.

Two key factors are a stable supply chain and

production-side management. We’ ve made progress in two aspects, particularly the improvement

of equipment upgrading planning and teamwork

efficiency-developing practices with Suzhou characteristics.

“We attached greater importance to the

capacity transfer of equipment in stock and the

upgrading of basic equipment in the process of

capacity switching. We also worked on actively

creating development plans in response to a

series of requirements for new equipment,” Wei

elaborated. In 2022, InnoLight invested a large

amount of equipment in order to fulfill customer

orders. With changes in the market, they would

have expected idle equipment in early 2023. With

the joint efforts of the craftsman team and the

automation department, a platform design was

launched for all equipment, so that the equipment

can be switched among different products to

ensure utilization.

“我们在整个产能切换过程中,更加重视对存量

设备产能的转移,对基础设备的改造,并且针对新设

备的一系列要求做积极规划。”WEI 介绍说。2022 年,

旭创针对客户订单需求曾投入大量新设备。随着市

In addition to improving equipment efficiency,

the Manufacturing Department also improved

teamwork efficiency by various means. According

to the new positioning of the Suzhou factory, they

established a team consisting of over 100 experienced members to be responsible for the transfer

of production of new products. The manufacturing

engineer team was also slimmed down and a

salary package mechanism was adopted to tap

the potential of engineers. These reforms not only

helped the Manufacturing Department finish their

production tasks, but also improved labor efficiency by 20-30%.

提升设备效能的同时,制造部门也通过多种方

式,提升了团队效能。根据苏州工厂的新定位,他

们成立了由100多名经验丰富的作业员组成的小组,

In the past, new products have had to finish

mass production in the Suzhou factory before

being transferred to the production lines in the

Tongling factory. Production line engineers in

Suzhou would come to Tongling to provide guidance on how to operate on the production lines.

However, increasingly tight schedules required by

customers in recent years has made it impossible

to finish mass production of new products before

their being transferrestaffesd to the production

lines in the Tongling factory. The Manufacturing

Department of the Tongling factory pivoted

accordingly by sending production line process

staff to Suzhou to learn about operations as well

as research and development. Upon their return,

they would teach other Tongling-based staff.

Additionally, rapid increases in production

and overall expansion led to a tremendous

increase in equipment, disrupting the original route

of mobility on the production lines and increasing

inter-plant turnover cost. These changes also led

to more requirements for management and training. A new measure which came out of these

changes played an important role in ensuring successful delivery by the Tongling factory.

过去,新产品要在苏州工厂完成 MP 后,才会转

产到铜陵。苏州的产线工程师也会来铜陵,指导产线

员工如何操作。但近年来客户的交付要求越来越快,

新品来不及 MP 就要发往铜陵转产。铜陵制造部也顺

势而变,派产线制程员工去苏州学习,产线操作之外,

还可以扩展至研发工程,学成后再回来教其它员工。

The new mode was put into use on a trial

basis at the end of 2022 and its utilization throughout 2023 demonstrated the effectiveness of experience sharing between the factories, which boosted common development of InnoLight factories.

Wei said that he felt the same way and the team

of manufacturing engineers in Suzhou benefited

significantly from this process.

新模式从 2022 年年底试行,经过 2023 年在铜

陵的实战,证明其对于厂区之间生产经验的传承很

有效果,并推动了旭创各工厂的共同发展。对此,WEI

As InnoLight accelerates its internationalizing

development, changes crept into the Company in

Singapore. It will be transformed as Innolight’ s

International Headquarter to connect overseas

markets and factories, and provide crucial operational support . In 2023, R&D director Ning joined

InnoLight in Singapore, greatly bolstering the company’s R&D function in Singapore. The two pioneer

staff members have enumerable emotions about

these positive and rapid changes, despite their

familiarity with the dynamic changes of InnoLight.

Cui, the first local employee of InnoLight

Singapore, was attracted by InnoLight’ s development vision and joined in October 2019. She

rented a 26m² small office, and the very first InnoLight Singapore office was thereby formally open

for business. One year later, financial specialist

Lily came in for an interview. She nearly walked

out when she saw the shabby and windowless

office. Luckily, she was encouraged by the information posted on the official InnoLight website.

After a thorough discussion with Cui, she realized

that there was ample room to explore in InnoLight

with great personal development potential. It was

for these reasons that she decided to join Cui. The

two young ladies teamed up to support daily operations of InnoLight Singapore as well as the company’s international business activities.

these factories. For example, the Tongling factory

was responsible for the most orders. Our senior

management of the company brought the handover date of plant No. 8 forward to October 2023, a

few years ahead of the original schedule, in a bid

to guarantee the capacity of the Tongling factory.

The Thai factory is another example. Having gone

through the year of 2023, the factory will undertake even more tasks in the oncoming year. Products produced in China before will be manufactured in the Thai factory given that the domestic

factories have reached their full capacity while

productivity improvement is still required. When

Phase 3 of the Thai factory is completed, it will

play a new role. Thanks to continuous coordination and balance, we are able to respond to a

complicated market environment and support the

internationalized development of InnoLight.”

“My responsibilities differed from day to day.

I’ m always facing new challenges. Sometimes, I

had to settle accounts for three different factories

in just as many days. I would certainly say I have

improved because of the experience.”

In 2023, they had a new colleague, Ning, the

first R&D team member in InnoLight Singapore.

Ning used to lead transceiver development

engineering teams at internationally renowned

tech firms. His relationship with InnoLight began

two years before finally joining InnoLight Singapore in 2023, where he is responsible for building

an overseas R&D team. To accommodate more

employees next year, InnoLight’ s Singapore office

will be relocated a third time to a space covering

306m². The new office boasts 19 cubicles and a

lab to meet R&D needs.

Cui was responsible for communicating with the

local government and headquarters, coordinating

overseas business planning and arranging tasks

according to their priorities. In doing so, she helped

the headquarters to enhance overseas operations

much more smoothly. One of her crucially important

duties is to ensure that all of InnoLight's operations in

Singapore remain compliant. During her communications with various government bodies and headquarter itself, Cui witnessed the rapid development of

InnoLight. Both the institutional reforms in 2022 and

the overseas business strategy development were

reflected in her interactions with different departments. She began to feel a great sense of urgency.

“My job is to process various pieces of information and sort them out in order to ensure smooth

interactions. Given the rapid pace of changes taking

place at InnoLight, I had to really step up to the plate

in order to play a functional role. I’ ve made the best

use of all my available skills and resources, and had

to development a lot more along the way. It was a

big challenge for me, but it brought a real sense of

achievement.”

Cui’ s feeling resonated with Lily. As a member

of InnoLight’s overseas financial specialists, Lily had

to keep in touch with the financial department in

Suzhou. She also volunteered to help handling the

financial affairs for the Thai factory remotely in the

early stages of the factory's construction. After the

Thai factory established its own financial department, she started moved on to handle financial

affairs for the factory in Taiwan. Given the difference between financial policies in different regions,

she had to continuously acquaint herself with new

rules and regulations in order to address the complex financial issues in each of these locations.

“我需要不断处理各种信息,把它们梳理整合,

让每条线都能完美对接。由于旭创变化太快,我需要

把自己的职能发挥到最大化,所有已经会的技能和

资源都用到极致,而且还要继续延伸发展更多。这很

难,挑战很大,但也带来了成就感。”

CUI 的心情引起了LILY 的共鸣。作为旭创海外财

务,LILY 不仅要和苏州财务部门时刻保持沟通,在泰

国工厂建设之初,还主动提出远程帮忙处理泰国工

厂的财务工作。后来泰国工厂自建财务后,她又开始

处理台湾工厂的财务。由于各地的财务政策有较多

差异,需要她不断学习、切换新的知识,才能同时应

付多地的需求。

“我的工作没有哪一天是重复的,永远都在接受

short-term goal of laying a solid foundation.

Changes and breakthroughs made by InnoLight

Singapore go beyond R&D. Cui explained how

InnoLight Singapore has reached a preliminary

agreement with local governments in which, on

top of R&D, supply chain and legal affairs are also

included in the company’ s development goals.

Meanwhile, InnoLight’ s businesses related to

overseas integration, acquisition, investment and

trade will grow gradually with the team's expansion, enabling every overseas point of InnoLight to

form a clear line of development. She believes

that InnoLight can achieve these goals in the near

future with InnoLight’s inherent traits.

\"In the next four years, InnoLight in Singapore

will undergo many changes and breakthroughs in

terms of staffing and functional planning. In the

process of dealing with the challenges that come

along with these changes, we will realize our own

positioning, value and growth.

planted by InnoLight in WHA Industrial Park has

flourished. Today, when people walk into the cafeteria which can accommodate hundreds of

employees and has a menu offering both Thai and

Chinese food, who would have imagined that the

initial builders could scarcely scrounge up dumplings for lunch?

improving R&D and NPI transfer efficiency at our

Thailand factory. The medium-term goal is to fully

utilize the team’ s expertise for next generation

product development and process optimizations. In

the long run and most importantly, Singapore R&D

team will play a critical role in advance research

and technology development for future products.

Singapore boasts abundant well established world

class silicon photonics and semiconductor infrastructure and ecosystems, along with abundant

talent and partner resources. Establishing an R&D

team in Singapore allows us to connect and leverage local resources, thereby bring more collaboration opportunities in developing new technologies

and products related to optical applications.

“Once we accomplish these three goals, new

values and innovations can be created for InnoLight. We will be expediting the progress of the

company’ s internationalization in a smoother and

faster way. Needless to say, it all makes me quite

excited,” Ning confessed.

al, Sean immediately dove headlong into renovating the factory building. The original owner of the

factory used the building as a chip manufacturing

plant. While the quality was outstanding, the internal structure was at odds with InnoLight's envisioned production lines, and therefore required

extensive renovations. The local construction

materials market in Thailand differs significantly

from that in China, most visibly seen in the doubling of all material pricing. After gaining support

from the top management, the Factory Affair

Department was able to put aside any concerns

and give it their all. They established a partnership

with a Chinese-funded construction company, who

took three months to complete the first phase of

the factory renovation.

Despite all the difficulties faced during the

renovation, Sean still feels that the most challenging obstacle was the provision of food, clothing,

accommodation, and transportation for his

colleagues.

虽 说 改 造 厂 房 时 遇 到 过 不 少 复 杂 问 题,但

SEAN 至今还觉得,在当时,安排好同事的吃穿住

行才是最难的事。

Regarding transportation, although the WHA

Industrial Park had seen business operations

before, it nevertheless lacked a public transportation system. Left without subway or taxi services,

workers could only walk to work, and their range

of recreational activities was limited to a three-kilometer radius around the dormitories. During their

Sean, the head of the Factory Affair Department, has always remembered what he witnessed

on January 2, 2022, when he arrived in Thailand.

Taking a car from the airport to Saraburi, he noticed

the surroundings becoming increasingly deserted.

By the time he arrived at the WHA Industrial Park,

he found himself smack-dab in the middle of the

wilderness. Sean and his colleagues came to

discover that this place consisted of practically

untouched nature. The sporadic croaking of frogs

could be heard by the roadside, and there were

occasional encounters with other wild animals.

He was accompanied by nearly 40 colleagues

in Suzhou, including manufacturing and QA. Their

task was to carry out the preliminary work of the

Thai factory according to the established plan,

including product transfer and factory construction.

Before setting off, this team of pioneers could

not possibly have foreseen that they would end up

staying in Thailand for an entire year, unable to

return home due to the pandemic. After their arriv周围一派乡村风情。SEAN 和同事们发现,这一带几

This is how this team of pioneers endured the

most trying period of their professional lives. Afterwards, the Factory Affair Department made further

arrangements, allowing employees to take a car to

the downtown area for shopping. They also incorporated many team-building activities. They found

a local Chinese chef, who had been living in Thailand for years, to prepare Chinese Cuisine for

them. The food almost seemed to possess a magical power. The familiar flavors soothed the weary

nerves of the pioneers, enabling them to keep up

with their demanding work schedule. Things at the

factory were getting better and better.

厂务安排下,他们周末可以坐车去城区逛街散心,还

增加了不少团建活动。厂务又找到一位在当地生活

As more and more employees joined the

company, there proved to be insufficient parking

space at the factory. InnoLight decided to build a

three-floor parking facility at the factory, which can

accommodate over 700 cars. Meanwhile, InnoLight’ s foreign employees started to live in some

dormitories near Bangkok. Today, the kitchen

operation in the factory canteen has been divided

into two areas: one for cooking Thai food, the

other for cooking Chinese food. When the office

first two months in Thailand, their lives consisted

of little more than bouncing between the factory

and the dormitory.

生活种种不便带来的心理落差,两点一线的枯

燥生活,异国他乡遇到的沟通障碍,以及浓烈的思乡

之情,造成这群开拓者的压力与日倍增。

他请行政买了羽毛球和简单的健身器材,洽谈

了周边的羽毛球场及足球场,组织同事们在宿舍门

前运动,慢慢从沉闷中抽身。不久,随着中餐厅的开

放,大家终于能换换口味了。

In terms of food, due to difficulty in adjusting

to Thai cuisine and the lack of a cafeteria, many

ended up eating boxed meals for nearly three

months straight. Others considered cooking in the

dormitory. At first, a dorm room was shared by two

employees. Then each employee eventually had

their own room. Although the room was more spacious, the lack of reliable transportation made it

difficult for them to even go out for a walk in the

evening. In Thailand, people value privacy, even

with their neighbors. The fumes and noise caused

by cooking were bound to lead to complaints from

others, quickly scuttling any plans for cooking in

the dorms.

The stress on those frontline workers grew

day by day due to the psychological strain caused

by daily inconveniences, the monotonous routine

of their everyday life, the communication barriers

encountered in a foreign land, and an intense feeling of homesickness. None of this escaped Sean,

who felt increasingly anxious. He had to try his

best to alleviate their mental stress.

He asked the administrator to buy badminton

and simple fitness equipment, negotiated for

nearby badminton courts and football fields, and

organized his colleagues to exercise in front of the

dormitory, slowly escaping from the boredom.

Soon, with the opening of the Chinese restaurant,

everyone could finally have a change of taste.

“那天大家去买了食材,一起动手包饺子。吃着

热乎乎的家乡味儿,欢声笑语不断。我看着久违的景

象,心想我们终于挺过来了。”

\"That day, we bought ingredients and made

dumplings together. Being able to once again

experience the comforting flavors of home filled us

all with indescribable joy, and spirits were high. As

I witnessed this long-awaited moment, I knew that

we had made it.\"

再说吃。由于吃不惯泰餐,又没有食堂,他们连

续吃了近三个月的盒饭。大家就合计着在宿舍做饭

吃。起初两人一间宿舍,后改为每位员工单独一间。

虽说住得更宽敞了,可是条件有限,晚上出去遛个弯

也不太方便。泰国邻里之间很注重保护私人空间,做

饭的油烟和噪声会引起他人投诉,他们只好放弃了

做饭的念想。

At present, the Operation & Factory Affair

Department is working on factory construction

Phase 2 and Phase 3 in Thailand. Hong, who is a

participant, stated that the team hopes to create a

set of InnoLight factory standards with a quality as

high as that of the Phase 1 project. These standards will incorporate the Suzhou factory model,

thus facilitating future development.

building is fully furnished, the canteen will be able

to accommodate 600 individuals. Usually, the

headquarters in Suzhou mails food ingredients to

the factory in Thailand, which the canteen puts to

good use, serving up authentic dishes like youtiao,

soybean milk, Chinese noodles. In the future, with

the joining of more foreign employees, the canteen will serve new dishes and occasionally play

host to multinational food festivals. We think it is

safe to assume that the canteen will end up

becoming many workers favorite place to be at the

WHA Industrial Park.

Over the past year, Chongqing Junge Industrial Park, which is thousands of miles away from

the Thai factory, is also in the middle of phase 2

construction. By the end of the year, the application for acceptance of formal completion of all

main construction work has been being

their best. If the client is not satisfied with the test

results of the received samples, this may cast

doubt on InnoLight's capabilities, putting the Company at risk of losing orders.

\"Opportunities come only once, and we must

face challenges fearlessly.\" Our project team

members cheered each other on. Staying motivated, confident, and alert to potential problems, they

conducted multiple rounds of testing over four

months, implementing improvements as they

went. Upon identifying problems, they immediately

organized efforts to tackle them. At one point,

team members all worked overtime for several

consecutive weekends to resolve a critical issue

with a key component. Throughout that period,

they held daily meetings to closely monitor the

project's progress. It was not until September

2022, after undergoing thorough reliability testing,

that the team could finally relax a bit and deliver

the tested sample to the client.

旭创决心研发硅光技术的缘起,和屡屡取得创

新突破的往事,已无须赘言。从 2020 年开始,旭创的

400G、800G 等硅光系列产品相继问市,激发的涟漪

为丰收的 2023 荡下了层层伏笔。假使没有这些积

The driving force behind InnoLight's dedication to developing silicon photonics technology, as

well as the numerous innovations and breakthroughs we have achieved, are both well-known.

Since 2020, InnoLight has launched multiple

silicon photonics products, such as 400G and

800G modules. These products sparked a positive

impact on the market and laid the foundation for

InnoLight's success in 2023. Without these

advancements, InnoLight might have missed valuable market opportunities in 2023.

Receiving orders does not mean everything

will be smooth sailing. Lily and her colleagues in

InnoLight's R&D department found themselves

filled with emotion as they reflected on the challenges that occurred unexpectedly alongside

these opportunities.

“2022 年,客户向我们提出了定制化产品的需

求。出乎我们意料的是,客户提出自己来做样品的可

靠性测试,而过去所有的样品都是旭创做好可靠性

测试之后,直接交付给客户的。”

customization. Unexpectedly, they insisted on

conducting their own sample reliability tests.

Before that, all samples had only been delivered

directly to the client after InnoLight had completed

reliability testing.\"

They achieved an optimal result. The client

was satisfied with the sample, leading to the

placement of a formal order with an impressive

purchase volume. Throughout this project, the

team experienced various ups and downs. They

faced challenges head-on and also celebrated

victories together.

他们获得了最好的结果。客户对样品很满意,正

式发出订单,销量颇丰。此情此景,令项目组真切体

验到痛并快乐的滋味。

The R&D department had a similar experience with the EML platform project. This project

marked the first formal mass production of 800G

products in Thailand. The entire project execution

process proved to be a challenge. Long, the project leader, jokingly mentioned that when the project products were successfully mass-produced,

the first thing the project team deliberated was

whether to set off firecrackers to celebrate.

研发部在 EML 平台项目上,也品尝到类似的

That was a first-time experience for InnoLight,

which made the team nervous, yet focused. Conducting reliability tests on samples internally

allows for products to be continuously improved

until their maturity, after which we deliver said

mature samples to our client. This minimizes any

potential project risks. When clients conduct the

tests themselves, it is like a high school student

taking practice exams before the college entrance

project, the R&D team continued to closely monitor

the production process. We identified a decrease in

the sensitivity of some of our products. This problem occurred on a large scale in the production

lines in Suzhou and Thailand before the products

were fully certified. Fortunately, the team had taken

the necessary precautions. By working together,

the staff in Suzhou and Thailand were able to

resolve the issues in less than two months,\" Long

said. Despite his light-hearted tone, one could

sense the gravity of the problem and the immense

pressure they had been under at the time.

As the demand for silicon photonics products

continues to rise, the strategic importance of our

Thai factory has become increasingly prominent.

At the start, the new factory encountered various

challenges, including a low yield rate. Addressing

the yield issue was not just a matter for the manufacturing department but also required coordinated

efforts from the R&D department. For Hong, the

head of the silicon photonics product team, solving

this problem was like building a new system in

Thailand. It was a tough test, assessing the

department's resilience, determination, and ability

to both collaborate and strategize. After months of

dedicated effort, the yield rate at the Thai factory

stabilized at a high level. Hong remarked, \"This

embodies the robust spirit of InnoLight.\"

With this strong InnoLight spirit, a new system

was established. This resilience was initially

demonstrated in the mission to establish a local

R&D team in Thailand, led by engineers

dispatched from our R&D department at the

Suzhou headquarters.

Felix and Wei were among the first engineers

from Suzhou to join the Thai factory. Upon their

arrival in August 2022, Felix took charge of the

engineering team, whereas Wei was responsible

for setting up the laboratory. Felix's team focused

on transitioning the products developed in Suzhou

to production in Thailand, while Wei's laboratory

team worked on developing processes for mass

production based on the engineers' designs, and

the subsequent production of samples.

Being new to Thailand, they were unfamiliar

with just about everything. The tasks they used to

accomplish with ease now posed a significant

challenge in a Thai work environment. To begin

with, the local talent pool had its own unique char初来乍到,过去熟悉的工作,在泰国竟变得有些

适合生产,很少具备转产、设计方面的能力,哪怕技

Similar challenges, whether big or small, arise

from time to time. However, it is precisely these

challenges and difficulties that motivate us to

summon our inner strength and resilience,

ultimately making us stronger.

类似的挑战,不论大小,其实时有发生。但正是

有了暗流汹涌,才让波涛壮阔,一日千里。

\" The first mass-produced silicon photonic

800G product has accumulated rich experience for

us. The subsequent series of products introduced

many new requirements in materials and other

aspects, thereby posing significant challenges for

our R&D staff. However, thanks to the extended

life cycle of silicon photonics products, once a

product is successfully launched and gains market

approval, subsequent tasks become more manageable. This allows R&D staff to invest more

effort in addressing the next challenge. \"We are

currently going through this process. One of the

driving forces that propels us forward is the bittersweet sensation we experience in facing and overcoming challenges,\" explained Michael, Head of

R&D Project Operations.

changes had to be implemented simultaneously in

both locations. However, the Thai factory struggled to sync up with Suzhou. Hong realized that

the previous process did not consider cross-factory operations, creating a mismatch with the HR

organizational structure of the Thai factory. She

therefore focused on optimizing processes to support yield improvement.

hands-on manufacturing tasks, but only a few possessed the skills required for transition and

design. Even among local technicians, their skill

set was limited. Language barriers added another

layer of difficulty.

Han, who was in charge of the optical

process platform, observed the entire yield

improvement process at the Thai factory. During

product development, she led the team in

creatively enhancing product performance and

reducing manufacturing costs through upgraded

processes. Even after the transition of products to

Thailand, the production process department continued to vigilantly monitor the production process,

ensuring everything ran smoothly. \"In July, I visited Thailand to discuss platform issues with Felix.

During that visit, I encountered a critical raw material issue. Subsequently, we had a durability issue

in our multi-mode products. Fortunately, we were

able to promptly resolve these problems, thus

fulfilling our department's responsibilities.\"

Yu, another engineer in the Silicon Photonics

department, shared the story of a 10-day battle to

improve coupling yields. Due to a sudden surge in

market demand, there was an urgent need to

increase product output rapidly. However, a critical

issue affecting yield rates emerged during this

accelerated production expansion. In May of this

year, POE engineers, process engineers, and

those involved in the manufacturing process

collaborated closely to resolve the issue. They

spent ten consecutive nights in meetings, where

they analyzed problems and jointly developed

strategies. As a result of these concerted efforts,

coupled yields increased significantly. Since this

problem-solving approach is applicable to the

common platform for all products, it was quickly

applied to the Thai factory to increase its yield rate.

2021 年,随着旭创启动在泰国筹建新工厂,一

些国内供应商也收到了出海的邀请。

In 2021, as InnoLight started to prepare for

the new factory in Thailand, a number of domestic

suppliers also received invitations to expand globally.

近年来,在旭创等头部公司的带动下,国内涌现

出很多优秀的光通信模块零部件生产商,旭创和他

们多年默契合作,共同经历过不少重大考验。因此,

当旭创考虑在泰国建厂时,首先想到邀请这些老搭

档们一同出海。

Driven by InnoLight and other leading companies, many outstanding manufacturers of optical

communication modules and components have

emerged in China in recent years. They have

undergone years of tacit cooperation with InnoLight amidst lots of nerve-wracking challenges. So

when InnoLight considered starting a factory in

Thailand, the first thing that came to its mind was

to invite those old partners.

“当我向他们游说时,看出他们心情有点复杂。

闲聊时我察觉到,他们既担心如果没有跟着出海,将

来可能会失去旭创的订单,又担心出海建厂,会遇到

很多意想不到的问题。尤其原本没有出海设想的供

应商,对得失考量就更加慎重了。” 供应链的思聪回

dilemma they were facing. When I chatted with

them, I perceived that they were both worried

about losing InnoLight's orders if they don't follow

us and encountering a lot of unexpected challenges if they do, particularly for those suppliers who

did not have a plan of globalization in the first

十分严格,哪怕在自己租赁的土地上,超出营业执照

定要注意入乡随俗,并且做好法务护航。”

Thanks to the efforts of the Supply Chain

Department, several suppliers have successfully

set up factories in Thailand. A familiar yet fresh

ecosystem of collaboration is emerging in another

country.

不过,出于对旭创的信任,这些供应商们很快就

在公司的组织下,组团到泰国实地考察。从泰国北部

一直到东南区域,将当地的各大产业园都看了一遍,

心中也都有了思量。

However, trusting InnoLight, these suppliers

were soon organized to have a field visit to the

Thailand site. They visited all the major industrial

parks in Thailand, spanning from the north to the

southeast, and formed their own considerations.

一些供应商拍板在泰国建厂。他们在距离旭创

工厂的合适位置,找到了符合需求的厂房。但设立时

又遇到了大量流程问题。这时,思聪扮演起顾问角

色。他结合旭创的经验,通过做招商、做注册的朋友,

甚至从泰国驻上海的办事处获得各种帮助,为供应

商们解决形形色色的问题。期间还多次陪供应商到

泰国实地处理问题。尽管受到疫情的影响,一度进展

缓慢,他们还是克服重重困难,不断接近目标。如今,

已经有供应商完成工厂初期建设,第一座供应商的

泰国工厂已经建成,正在进行量产准备,为旭创的供

应商同舟出海计划树立了实实在在的标杆。

Some suppliers immediately decided to build

factories in Thailand. They found satisfactory

plants at suitable locations at an appropriate

distance from the InnoLight factory. However, the

formality remained a big issue when they started

the business. This is when Sicong came as a consultant. Based on the experience of InnoLight, he

helped those suppliers solve all kinds of issues by

resorting to his friends at the local investment

promotion and company registration departments

as well as the Royal Thai Embassy in Shanghai.

During this period, he also accompanied the suppliers to Thailand several times to address issues

on-site. Despite the impact of the COVID-19, the

progress was slow. However, they defied the odds

and persisted, steadily moving closer to their goal.

Now, some suppliers have completed the preliminary construction stage. The first Thailand factory

of suppliers was already completed and it's now

preparing for mass production, which sets a

down-to-earth example for suppliers to stay

aligned with InnoLight's globalization program.

When trust is built, no one is left alone in the

venture of going global. In addition to the volunteer services offered by the Supply Chain Department, InnoLight's Thailand factory provided significant assistance to the suppliers during the construction of their new factories. Especially, they

collaborate on finding solutions when they

encounter language and cultural differences. If

suppliers encounter problems in recruitment, they

seek advice from InnoLight. Following the start of

formal production at InnoLight's Thailand factory,

suppliers sent their technicians to the production

lines. Once their factories are completed, InnoLight's supply chain personnel will also be there to

help them solve any issues that arise.

在出海的旅途上,旭创和供应商们基于信任的

共济,就像流动的甘露,渗透进陌生的土壤,护送着

种子一起萌芽。

On the journey of going global, InnoLight and

its suppliers escort each other based on trust, like

flowing water permeating through the unfamiliar

ground and nurturing the seeds to sprout and

grow.

“他们随旭创出海,也会开玩笑说以后要多接一

点订单。但实际上,我们并不能给他们真金白银的承

诺。抛开经营风险不论,就像我们的新工厂需要一段

周期不断磨合才能担当大任,供应商的新工厂也要

面对生产效能的风险。如果不能通过我们的稽核,他

们的新工厂就不能接到我们的订单。”

\"When they decided to follow the steps of

InnoLight, they would joke about picking more

orders in the future. However, this is not a promise

we can offer. Setting aside operational risks, it's

crucial to acknowledge that suppliers' new factories need to face productivity risks as our new

factory has to undergo a breaking-in period before

playing a significant role. If they are unable to

pass our audits, they will not be able to receive

our orders for their new factories.

叠加的风险,很容易让供应商望而却步。事实上

也确实有少数体量不够的供应商,因为无法承担意

外的风险,目前还处于观望阶段。但大多数供应商,

仅仅凭借对旭创的信任,就愿意陪同旭创一起出海,

同舟共济。

These risks adding up to one another easily

discourage suppliers. It is also true that there are

indeed a few suppliers with limited capacity who

are currently in a wait-and-see phase due to their

inability to take on unexpected risks. However,

due to their trust in InnoLight, the majority of suppliers are willing to stand by our side and face the

challenges together.

他们陪伴旭创走过多年,见证了旭创的企业文

化和发展能力,与旭创已经达成互信互爱的默契。他

们相信和旭创一同出海,能够获得更大的发展空间。

After years of accompanying InnoLight, they

witnessed our corporate culture and development

客观而言,这些出海的供应商确实面临着一定

的风险。很多人以为东南亚的人工便宜建厂成本会

下降,其实不然。一方面泰国的土地成本受到中国

工厂出海的影响,已经大大提升,不少厂房价格已

经与苏州持平。另一方面管理成本和能效消耗都会

提升。更何况还要面临不同的营商环境带来的种种

不确定性。

From an objective standpoint, it is undeniable

that suppliers who build factories abroad do

encounter certain risks. Many people believe that

labor is inexpensive in Southeast Asia, and as a

result, the cost of constructing a factory would

decrease. But this is not always the case. On one

hand, the cost of land in Thailand has significantly

increased due to the influx of Chinese factories.

As a result, the price of many factory buildings has

reached a level comparable to those in Suzhou.

On the other hand, the costs of management and

energy consumption are high, not to mention the

numerous uncertainties that come with operating

businesses in an exotic environment.

Lobbying, accompanying, and assisting suppliers in building factories in Thailand is a means

of fostering mutual growth between InnoLight and

its suppliers. The relationship of co-growth

between InnoLight and suppliers has existed for

15 years.

“平时遇到问题,我和熟悉的供应商电话沟通,

不超过 5 句话就能解决问题。我们安排订单,有淡旺

季之分,供应商也都很清楚如何安排供应。而临时出

现的订单需求,只要和供应商一起商量,最后都能解

决问题。”思聪回忆道。

长的关系,在旭创和供应商之间已经存在了 15 年。

\"Typically, when I'm talking with a familiar

supplier over the phone, it usually takes no more

than five sentences to solve the problem. There

are peak seasons and off seasons for orders, and

suppliers know how to arrange the supply. If unexpected orders arise, we can always find solutions

by discussing them together.\" Sicong recalled.

While Saraburi may not be a popular travel destination in the

tourist haven that is Thailand, it is instead geared towards industrial

development.

WHA 产业园距离泰国首都曼谷,车程约 90 分钟;如果从 WHA

产业园回到苏州,总行程将超过 10 小时,虽说其中至少有 6 个小时要

花在两地各自的机场通勤上。

The WHA Industrial Park is about a 90-minute drive from the

Thai capital of Bangkok. If an InnoLight employee were to return to

Suzhou from this area, the entire trip will take more than 10 hours,

with at least 6 hours spent commuting to the airports in both locations.

These are the approximate distances between the WHA

Industrial Estate and both Bangkok and Suzhou. This development

zone may not prominently stand out on a map and, in reality, is

even a bit remote. Were it not for InnoLight's 78,000-square-meter

factory being situated here, this place would have no association

with either Suzhou or Bangkok.

during the startup phase have now become points

made this facility a bit like a college campus. Employees are actively exploring various new areas

According to Simon, managers should communicate directly with their teams. Before mastering another language, they can use online translation tools to communicate with colleagues from

different countries. The information being

discussed can be verified multiple times to ensure

accuracy. Additionally, the factory organizes training sessions in both Thai and Chinese and offers

incentives to encourage colleagues to learn each

other's languages. In doing so, we can gradually

eliminate communication barriers.

“各国员工各有特点,我们要去创造一种文化氛

围,把大家融入进来,发挥出各自的优势。比如泰国

员工看上去很平和,他们注重执行,十分严谨,很讲

究落地执行的细节,而且责任感很强。” 泰国工厂负

speaking in at least three languages: Chinese,

English, and Thai. Due to the limited number of

bilingual individuals, communication among our

employees hailing from different countries is not

as smooth as it could be. However, the calm

demeanor of our staff, along with the smiles on

their faces, nonetheless creates a relaxing work

environment. They look as if there is no challenge

in the world that they cannot overcome.

In terms of recruitment, considering the limited industrial scale in Thailand, the recruitment

department has expanded its scope to attract

qualified talent from neighboring countries as well.

Moreover, by leveraging university-industry cooperation, efforts are focused on identifying potential

young talent. Although it may take some time for

these partnerships to yield results, the eventual

positive outcomes will be well worth the investment. This collaborative approach is like tending a

garden, where nurturing seeds is the first step

towards causing the land to bear hopeful fruit.

生产培训则是最直接的需求。泰国建厂之初正

逢疫情,中国员工出境不便,苏州总部便把产线所有

岗位的培训,用泰语讲解拍成视频,传输到泰国,组

织现场学习训练。后续中国员工可以到泰国现场培

训时,则采取了一带多的方式,让合格的泰国员工再

去培训其他泰国员工,越过语言沟通问题,加快岗位

培训效率。

Production training is the most pressing need.

When the Thai factory was established, it coincided with the pandemic, making it difficult for Chinese employees to travel. As a result, the Suzhou

headquarters transformed all training materials for

positions on the production line into videos with

explanations in Thai. These videos were sent to

the Thai factory for on-site learning and training.

Subsequently, when Chinese employees could

travel to Thailand for training, a strategic approach

was adopted where a qualified Thai employee

would train several local employees. This

approach both bypassed the language communication barrier and enhanced the efficiency of job

training.

“针对泰国员工的情况,我们把旭创总部的任职

资格,转化为能力要素。针对团队里每个员工的不同

特点,由主管去对项目进行评价,判断哪些是通用能

力差异,哪些是专业能力差异,再针对性安排培训体

系,期间分阶段输入新的能力培训,令整个培训体系

更加丰富。明年,我们准备安排更多团建及文化方面

的交流,促进融合。”

requirements for employment in the headquarters

into the essential competencies that our local

employees need to possess, tailoring certain

details to better suit our Thai employees. Directors

evaluate training programs based on the individual

characteristics of each employee on their team to

identify the difference between universal and

professional competencies. Then, a targeted training system is implemented in stages to provide

new skills for our employees, thereby diversifying

the entire training system. Next year, we plan to

arrange additional team-building and cultural

exchange activities to promote further integration

among our employees.\"

There are many InnoLight employees like

Simon, whose family members are in China while

he works in Thailand. Our Thai factory has been in

operation for more than a year. During this time,

some employees from Suzhou have been on secondments in Thailand. Not only have they developed strong bonds with their Thai colleagues, but

some have even formed romantic connections,

creating heartwarming stories that link Saraburi,

Suzhou, and Bangkok.

像 SIMON 这样,家在国内、工作在泰国的旭创

After listening to Simon's talk, it becomes

clear how challenging the training efforts in our

Thai factory can be. In light of the intermingling of

cultures, it is crucial to handle certain delicate

aspects, such as cultural taboos, with great care

and sensitivity.

carrying an employee ID. The security procedures

are comprehensive, yet not overly intrusive. Additionally, the factory has hired a top-notch local

security firm to set up a professional security

system.

Moreover, InnoLight places great importance

on ensuring financial security for its employees.

Simon explained that InnoLight has developed a

solid compensation and incentive system for Thai

employees. This system covers bonuses for excellent performance, daily expenses, team-building

trips, and more—all modeled after successful

practices in similar companies. Thailand does not

require companies to contribute to the housing

provident fund. However, InnoLight voluntarily

provides these funds, along with medical insurance, for its employees to ensure that they do not

have to pay out of pocket for medical expenses.

This year, InnoLight has also introduced a stock

incentive plan specifically for the Thai factory to

keep the talent pool stable.

\"As the Thai factory operation matures, we

are constantly refining our financial security

system. We want our employees to focus on their

work without any concerns. This also helps forge

stronger bonds among our colleagues. Now,

whenever our Suzhou colleagues visit Thailand,

they say that the atmosphere in our Thai factory is

very much like it was in Suzhou InnoLight during

its startup days before 2015. This kind of atmosphere allows our employees to let their creativity

flow freely.\"

Currently, our Thai factory is smoothly executing its production plan. Next year, it will take on

additional responsibilities for product transition.

薪酬和激励体系。包括工作业绩奖励、日常经费支

持、团建旅游等等,每项都对标其他做得很好的公

化经济保障体系,让员工没有后顾之忧、踏踏实实地

工作,同事之间也会凝聚得更加牢固。现在苏州的同

事来泰国考察,都说泰国工厂的氛围像极了15年前苏

州旭创初创时的氛围。有了这种氛围,员工就能产生

不竭的创新力。”

目前,泰国工厂正按照生产计划稳定出产。明年,

它会被委以更多转产重任。好像一个成长中的孩子。

The mutual family values shared by Thais

and Chinese have played an important role in

building strong bonds and friendships between

these two groups. These emotional ties make the

land to the south of Suzhou and in the north of

Thailand, where the Thai factory is located, a cozy

home for our employees. In this workplace, the

Company actively commits to ensuring the safety

and well-being of its employees.

泰国人注重家庭的特点,与中国人有着强烈共

鸣,这是两国人相爱结亲重要的血脉相依。苏州以

南,泰国以北的这片土地,因此显得温情脉脉,以有

Jing, a Chinese team member responsible for

safety and reception at the Thai factory, has been

working in Thailand for a year. His family fully supports his long sojourns in Thailand. However,

whenever a family member falls ill, he cannot help

but express some concern.

\"When you are working in another country,

having your family for support is crucial. If it were

not for them, I would not feel settled in Thailand. I

am really grateful for the support my family shows

me. And, of course, I will do everything in my

power to take care of them,\" Jing proclaimed

sincerely.

JING,已经在泰国工厂工作了一年。家人支持他长期

出差。只是每逢孩子或者老人生病,不免也有抱怨。

“在外工作,真的离不开家人支持,他们要是不

支持,我就待得不安心。很感谢家人做我的后盾,我

也要做好分内事,好好守护他们。”JING 恳切地说。

His family in Suzhou is his anchor, while his

colleagues in Thailand are the ones he looks out

for on a daily basis. Jing points out that the Thai

factory is still in its early days, and it is crucial to

make sure everyone is safe. Given the challenging

local traffic and occasional security issues in Thailand, his top priority is to secure the factory gates.

远在苏州的家人,是他的精神所寄;近在身边

的同事,是他日常守护的对象。他说,泰国工厂还在

初创期,必须要让员工得到安全保障。泰国当地交通

状况比较复杂,其他社会安全问题也时有发生,首要

To achieve this, InnoLight has strengthened

security measures at the Thai factory, more so

than what is present in Suzhou. Vehicle access to

the factory premises requires an appointment, and

every visitor's ID is scrutinized, even if they are

This factory is like a growing child, gradually

maturing over time.

不同国家的文化多样性,在这里得到足够尊重,

时而通过活动被大家体验、分享;另一方面,为了工厂

核心任务而要求的生产“同一性”,也在稳步趋向完善。

High value is placed here on the diversity of

cultures of different countries. Our employees

actively engage in cultural activities, sharing and

experiencing the rich tapestry of cultures. Moreover, we are steadily improving the production

consistency required for the core tasks of the

factory.

A more significant challenge arose with the

iteration of the MES system. When the software

was initially designed, our Thai factory was still in

the planning phase, so unfortunately, we did not

have a Thai language version available at that

time. When the factory prepared for production,

language became a stumbling block. Our Thai

employees on the production line found it challenging to use the MES software efficiently without

a Thai language option. Therefore, we needed to

add Thai language support to the software.

Their initial major challenge arose from a

network issue that had troubled our Thai factory.

Due to the underdeveloped local infrastructure,

the factory often encountered network lag. In

2022, during a series of customer audits at our

Thai factory, these frequent network lags caused

disruptions in the production line operations.

Barry, grappling with the impact of the pandemic,

promptly traveled to our Thai factory to oversee

the restructuring of the network. The team eventually tackled this serious issue by implementing a

multi-line backup approach and engaging with

multiple communication service providers.

更大的挑战,来自 MES系统的迭代。这件利器在

设计之初,泰国工厂还在规划中。因此研发的第一版

软件,并没有泰语版本。等到泰国工厂筹备投产,软

件的语言问题就暴露出来。产线上的泰国员工因为

不认识中英文,很难高效使用 MES 软件,有必要为

软件增加泰语。

However, this upgrade was not so simple as

adding another language option. Due to underlying architecture issues, this upgrade necessitated

an entirely new framework, essentially requiring a

complete rewriting of the software.

但这次升级并不是增加一门语言那么简单。由

于底层构架问题,需要搭一个全新的架构,几乎等于

把软件改写一遍。

Upon learning of this situation, the Company's

top management immediately initiated the MES

software upgrade program. This was crucial, as

our Thai factory needed to use the same tools as

the Suzhou headquarters to ensure consistency in

production practices.

公司高层了解情况后,毫不犹豫地启动 MES 软

件升级计划。因为泰国厂区必须与苏州总部使用同

样的工具,在生产同一性原则下,同舟共济。

To upgrade the software, the IT department

invested significant resources. The new software

version for the module section was eventually

This consistency requires that each step of

production at the Thai factory must be consistent

with those at other InnoLight facilities. We must

recognize the importance of having the right tools

for our jobs. The important tool, which integrates

all aspects of production, refines itself in the

pursuit of consistency.

这种同一性,在于泰国工厂生产各环节,与旭创

其它工厂必须一致。工欲善其事,必先利其器。这件

将生产各端凝聚起来的重要工具,本身也在追求同

一性的过程中,实现了自我迭代。

Barry, the head of the IT department, plays a

pivotal role in this story. In 2022, InnoLight made

significant progress with its Manufacturing Execution System (MES), enhancing the automation and

traceability of production processes. This progress

is crucial for managing production data efficiently,

playing a vital role in InnoLight's rapid growth.

With the completion of the Thai factory, our IT

department dispatched Jie, a Thai-speaking

employee, in early 2022 to provide hardware and

software operation and maintenance support for

the factory. This marked the official start of close

collaboration between our IT department and our

Thai factory. Jie and his team efficiently manage

daily IT issues, with prompt guidance from our

headquarters being provided in the event of more

challenging problems.

IT 部门负责人 BARRY,是这个故事的主角之一。

2022年,旭创 MES 系统完善了生产过程的自动化能

力和可追溯能力,实现了生产数据的良好管控,对旭

创的高速发展功不可没。

随着泰国工厂的落成,2022 年初,IT 部门派出

一位精通泰语的员工 JIE,长期驻扎泰国工厂,为厂

区的硬件软件提供运维保障。从此,IT 部门正式与泰

In InnoLight's Thai factory, a unique vibe has

been created through the respecting and embracing of diverse cultures. While InnoLight's global

expansion journey still has a long way to go, we

can anticipate the continuous emergence of new

communication channels. Much like each color on

a Rubik's Cube, each avenue of communication

leads to the exploration of a new frontier.

Over the past two years, the trailblazers at

InnoLight's Thailand factory have achieved a

significant milestone by establishing effective

mechanisms to address communication challenges. These mechanisms ensure that successful

experiences can be efficiently replicated, thereby

fostering faster development.

就旭创泰国工厂的开拓者而言,过去两年的一

A notable example is the CT mechanism,

inspired by InnoLight's employee welfare committee system in Suzhou. Jonny, the head of the CT

team and a key figure in the construction of the

Thai factory, explained that the team comprises

individuals responsible for all aspects of safety,

management, and daily life. Using a cross-departmental management model, they take good care

of employees, provide them with various kinds of

support, and address all operational issues within

the factory, except for R&D and production issues.

The CT mechanism differs completely from the

mechanisms described above for addressing communication issues.

\"The Thai factory will become one of InnoLight's primary production facilities with R&D capabilities outside of China. Acting as a cross-departmental management organization, the CT team

encourages horizontal communication, fosters

collaboration between departments, and supports

factory construction,\" Jonny introduced.

其中,脱胎于苏州旭创员工保障委制度的 CT 专

班制,就是一个典型。CT 班子负责人 JONNY,是泰

国工厂建设的推动者之一。CT 班子是由厂区安全、管

理、生活等各方面的负责人员组成,以跨部门管理的

形式,为员工提供各类保障,一起协调解决除研发生

产外的所有厂区运营问题,两者区别显著。

“泰国作为旭创海外主要的生产基地,未来会发

展为包含研发能力的制造基地。CT 班子作为跨部门

的管理组织,大家实施横向沟通,各部门共同协作,

为厂区建设提供支持。”JONNY 介绍道。

经过两年时间的运行,CT 班子机制取得了很好

的成效。这是因为 CT 班子不单考虑如何提高员工的

生活保障,还会考量管理效率如何提升、运营成本如

何减降,尤其是大家都能撇开部门本位主义,从公司

文化共鸣中的守护,逐渐让旭创泰国工厂拥有

一种独特的气质。未来,旭创向海外布局的道路仍然

漫长,新的沟通链接还会不断出现,宛如六色魔方上

The new version not only supports the Thai

language, but also addresses the past issue of

unwieldy operation when data volume is large. In the

past, querying specific data on the production line

took two seconds. It now takes less than 0.5

seconds, making the entire system more responsive.

\"The IT department is vertically managed by

the Suzhou headquarters, with its functions

extending to various factories. All these factories

use the same system tools. As the central hub, we

are responsible for the operation and maintenance

of all factories. Given InnoLight's international footprint, we also need to ensure excellent local

adaptability. To this end, our next step is to establish a local team in the IT department in Thailand.

In this way, we will ensure centralized management while granting autonomy to local factories.

By ensuring that each factory adheres to the operation and maintenance requirements for the same

system, we guarantee their smooth and uninterrupted operation.\"

新版本不仅增加了泰语,还解决了数据量一大

就容易造成臃肿的问题。过去查询产线的某个数据,

需要耗时两秒钟,现在则不到 0.5 秒,整个系统变得

更加流畅。

“IT 部门是在苏州总部的垂直管理下,分布到各

个工厂的。大家使用同样的系统工具。我们作为中

枢,需要对所有厂区的正常运维负责。但旭创作为国

Now, Barry and his team are preparing for the

next challenge: assisting our Thai factory in developing an equipment management system. Barry

emphasized that this system will propel InnoLight

towards intelligent production and will be uniformly

used across all InnoLight factories.

After two years of operation, the CT team

mechanism has achieved superlative results. The

team's success can be attributed to its focus on

not only improving employee welfare but also

enhancing management efficiency and reducing

operational costs. All CT team members can put

aside the interests of their individual departments

to promote policies that serve the overall interests

of the Company.

Second, one of the key responsibilities of the

CT team is to foster multiculturalism and unity

among employees. This requires genuine mutual

respect and an appreciation for the positive

aspects of different cultures. The emphasis on

diversity and cultural integration enables the CT

team to align itself more effectively with the pursuit

of establishing a consensus among the workforce.

There is also a greater focus on eliminating

narrow-mindedness and allowing unity and collaboration to shine.

The strong sense of teamwork in our Thai

factory has deep roots for a few key reasons.

First, due to the long-term influence of InnoLight's

corporate culture, this team, which handles the

challenge of establishing a factory in another

country and deals with unexpected challenges, is

naturally primed to unite. Facing challenges brings

them together, helping them work as a team to

solve common problems. They are also ready to

coordinate and make compromises when needed

to ensure the smooth resolution of issues.

这种协作精神会在泰国工厂出现,有其深层的

原因。首先,在旭创长期的企业文化熏染下,这支在

异国他乡承担建厂重任,又要挑战各种意想不到的

今年,是旭创科技与向荣公益基金会携手走过的第六年。在这六年“一路繁花、向心生长”的时光里,我们一

起走遍 7 省 13 县 45 所小学,288 个班级图书角和 1 间多功能校园图书馆,支持学校开展了多种多样的校园

阅读、暑期夏令营等活动。超过 14000 名孩子通过班级图书角项目播下阅读的种子,增加了见识,开阔了眼界,

通过阅读看到更大的世界,探索无垠的未来。

This year marks the sixth anniversary of partnership between InnoLight and the New Horizon Charity

Foundation. Across this six-year journey, mutual love and respect has taken root and blossomed. Together,

we have traveled through 7 provinces and 13 counties, helping 45 elementary schools set up 288 classroom reading corners, as well as a multifunctional campus library. Through these projects, we have supported schools in organizing diverse activities, such as campus reading programs and summer camps. The

Classroom Reading Corner initiative, in particular, has successfully ingrained a love for reading in over

14,000 children, increasing their knowledge and broadening their horizons. Through the act of reading, they

have gained a glimpse into a larger world, fostering a curiosity of the future and a yearning to explore it.

Carrying out these activities is a way for companies to look out for their long-term interests and

align themselves with social development requirements. The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)

audits conducted by clients and the ESG reports

disclosed annually by listed companies both

provide details of the companies' engagement in

public welfare and charitable activities. The updated Company Law, which will come into effect on

July 1, 2024, emphasizes the need for companies

to strengthen their social responsibility fulfillment

criteria. The law encourages companies to more

actively participate in public welfare activities.

InnoLight employees face a similar situation.

Statistics show that our employees on the Chinese

mainland hail from 408 counties across 16 provinces, and about 20% of them are from remote

mountainous areas in provinces such as Henan,

Gansu, and Hunan. Many work far away from

home and have no choice but to keep their children in school back in their hometowns. The New

Horizon Charity Foundation has established reading corners in elementary schools in remote areas

of the three provinces mentioned above. In September of this year, we received a call from the

wife of a colleague whose hometown is Gongyi.

During this call, she proudly shared a heartwarming story with us. Her child was pleasantly

surprised to discover that the reading corner in the

classroom was donated by their dad's company.

The excitement in her voice underscored the positive impact of the Company's enthusiastic involvement in public welfare. We are committed to helping left-behind children, making them feel cared

for by society, and creating wonderful childhood

memories for them. It is of great significance to

spark hope for the future in these children and

instill them with motivation.

children have been, what we often refer to as

\"left-behind.\" In some schools, up to 70% of the

children live with their grandparents due to their

will face a challenging daily commute. As a result,

some may choose to board at school, thus limiting

their range of activities. This type of school life

may gradually narrow their world view and may

also contribute to their shyness around strangers.

This is why these books are so crucial – they

serve as a window for these children to explore

the outside world.

We are all capable of compassion, and being

kind to others is a genuinely virtuous act. Despite

our busy schedules, we have both an inherent

sense of duty and heartfelt desire to contribute in

a way that will benefit other people. It brings joy to

lend a hand. What is the value of life? People's

responses may vary, but generally, a sense of

value in life can be gleamed from contributing to

society – such is our responsibility, our mission,

and the core of our existence. As the saying goes,

hope is that small acts of kindness can brighten

Implementing a public welfare initiative might

start off with a faint glimmer, but as people proactively put their good intentions into action, it can

grow into a luminous beacon. Moreover, this idea

is akin to a gentle breeze—once it gains momentum, it becomes a gust of wind. Among our

colleagues, there is a growing interest in joining

the New Horizon Charity Foundation's summer

camp program. They are eager to learn how they

can partner one-on-one with children in less privileged mountainous areas, offering assistance and

sharing their own children's books with them.

09. 2023 年 12 月,Marvell 交付了两款光学 PAM4 数字信号处理器 ( 光学 DSP)。Perseus 是业界
